Your Role and Responsibilities

IBM is seeking an experienced SAP Ariba and Fieldglass source to pay business transformation consultant to join our dynamic team in support of our procurement SAP source to pay solutions. This position will be located in Research Triangle Park, NC and will be part of our new operations organization. The position requires an experienced process transformation consultant with demonstrated external experience architecting and implementing source to pay solutions in SAP Ariba. They will have deep SAP Ariba and Fieldglass configuration knowledge in different ERP environments. They will also have experience in large merger and acquisition and integration programs. The successful candidate will use system administration skills to support the business processes and day to day operations of the procurement sourcing teams. This role requires strong coordination skills to manage stakeholders across multiple departments within the organization and a good understanding of separation of duties practices and supplier legal and compliance requirements. The business system application administrator lead will play a critical role in identifying, escalating, and resolving project issues related to the assigned business process area, participating in configuration workshops, managing testing processes, and ensuring successful system functionality and user experience. The business application administrator lead will interlock with our procurement transformation organization to derive best practices and new functionality implementation.
They will have primary responsibility for administering the procurement business processes within the following SAP product modules:
  • Sourcing
  • Contracts
  • Supplier Management
  • Procure to Pay
  • Guided Buying
  • Invoicing/Accounts Payable
  • Services Labor / SAP Fieldglass
  • SAP Ariba Business Network
Key Responsibilities:
  • Business configuration support: Work with the procurement transformation team and IBM CIO organization to facilitate system optimization and business process work.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Own and coordinate the involvement of business process users in the end-to-end functional support of the procurement applications.
  • Compliance Management: Have knowledge of IBMs legal and business compliance requirements, ensuring that all activities meet necessary regulatory standards.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify, escalate, and resolve project issues related to the corresponding business area to ensure business continuity and success.
  • Configuration Ongoing Education: Participate actively in configuration workshops and learning opportunities, contributing expertise, and ensuring that business requirements are accurately supported.
  • Data Validation: Validate data documentation to ensure data integrity and accuracy of changes made to the system.
  • Buy Channel Enablement: Support the deployment and expansion of procurement buy channel capabilities and look to standardize buy channels globally.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in a functional lead or similar role within a complex project environment.
  • Strong understanding of business processes across various procurement organizations and functions including Purchasing, Receiving, and Finance.
  • Experience in coordinating and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Knowledge of legal and compliance requirements relevant to business processes and systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage and resolve issues effectively.
  • Working experience configuring SAP Ariba and SAP Fieldglass in a high pace global environment including buy channel configuration and set up.
  • Effective communication skills with a customer support mindset.


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Project management.
  • Advanced knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
  • SAP S4/Hana configuration and system administration experience.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
