As a Senior Product Quality Assurance Engineer (Test Engineer) you will have the opportunity to contribute to every step of new, organic solutions and the software development cycle; from design discussions and development practices to functional testing and automation development.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Design and execute test cases, and report status in an Agile SDLC framework
  • Constantly look for ways to make the test process more effective and efficient to significantly reduce the defect escape rate and most important, improve the customer experience
  • Perform functional, integration and end to end testing
  • Develop API and UI test automation and contribute to framework maintenance using Java
  • Review results and report defects, daily use of JIRA for test case management/defect tracking
  • Participate in daily team standup meetings
  • Review requirements/enhancements and provide feedback from Test Perspective. Contribute to work item sizing in sprint planning activity
  • Successful track record to perform within short release cycles
  • Knowledge of complex architecture and ability to determine where to focus test efforts
  • Ability to look beyond the requirement and understand potential functional impact to better design test approach
Successful candidates must have demonstrative automation and exploratory testing skills as well as the ability to operate with ease in an ever-evolving environment.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
  • Minimum 5 years current experience as a test engineer
  • Health care product testing under Quality Management System
  • Experience testing ETL, Database validation
  • Selenium
  • Mobile Testing (iOS/Android), preferably using an automation tool
  • IntelliJ, Jenkins, Git, JIRA, SAS, Hadoop
  • Other testing types such as Performance, Security, System


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of Manual and Automation testing experience
  • Strong complex SQL back end validation skills
  • Experience deploying builds to local environments for testing


Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Experience testing software within a highly regulated Healthcare FDA environment
  • Writing and executing automated tests at the api level 5+ years
  • Automation Skills: Fluent in one or more of the languages for test scripting, ideally jvm related (java, scala), knowledge and experience with selenium, preferably have BDD experience leveraging cucumber and/or spinach and have 7+ years writing automation tests
