Job Description
Participant in translation of the Software Inventory requirements to support the BigFix Inventory application, install the application on new servers, provide maintenance on existing, and keep documents/process' current . The Tech Specialist works with troubleshooting the BES Client for BFI, applies industry knowledge, and leverages appropriate business elements and information technology to address those needs. This includes working as a team member with client personnel to identify functional and non-functional requirements and subsequently working with or in some instances leading others to provide a solution for a server.

Participates should have background in Windows, Linux, and some DB2 experience.

Knowledge Management: Global knowledge sharing and management is key to IBM's success. Will participate in, and/or be responsible for the creation, harvesting, protection, and reuse of IBM's intellectual capital. They will participate actively in knowledge sharing activities like communities of practice, forums, conferences and/or other knowledge exchanges.

*The position could be located in POK, Armonk, Raleigh, Schaumburg, Atlanta, or Boulder

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • BigFix Inventory skills 2 - 5 years
  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and some DB2 2 - 5 years
  • Network experience
  • Experience working with others on tight schedules
  • Presentation skills (client and internal)
  • Experience to lead technical teams in complex customer environments
