Job Description
IBM is seeking an experienced and dynamic Networking Solutioner to work directly with strategic customer accounts and to architect and present Networking solutions for customers. An ideal candidate should have excellent technical credentials, extensive experience in networking infrastructure design and implementation, excellent communication skills, and professional approach in advising customers to solve their complex networking challenges.

The Networking Solution Specialist is a technical, customer-facing role having paramount impact on customers’ experience with IBM solutions. As a Senior Networking Solutioner, you will be responsible for:
  • Working closely with customers, and leading technical and business value discussions
  • Advising customers in the architecture and deployment of solutions that meets their technical, business and compliance needs
  • Designing WAN, Campus (including Voice and Video) and Cloud Networking strategies and implementing state-of-the-art networking technologies for customers
  • Contributing to identifying, developing and implementing technical best practices guidelines

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 7 years Experience in working with customers in identifying their business and technical requirements, and designing and/or implementing optimal networking solutions for them
  • At least 5 years Proven track record of thought leadership in a customer-facing, consulting role
  • At least 5 years Deep understanding of Networking technologies, such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Network as a Service (NaaS), Software-defined networks (SDN), Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), SD-WAN, Voice Architecture and other emerging technologies
  • At least 5 years Experience in troubleshooting and solving networking issues
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with customers
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Ability to travel onsite to customer locations as necessary

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Networking Certifications are preferred
