Job Description
IT Specialists in this Job Role have expertise in translating IT requirements in the design, development, and assembly of components to create custom information systems. Typical examples of the deliverables are functional and technical designs, models, components, code, unit tests, and documentation. Programming (Data, Web, Java, DevOps). Experience with UX design. Experience in DB2/JDBC/SQL, C/C++, Object Oriented Design/Development, Practitioner Agile Project Management Methodology, Understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards. Understanding of Cloud Development platforms (OpenStack, Bluemix)

This position will be located in the following areas: Armonk NY, Austin TX, Cambridge MA, Herndon VA, Littleton MA, NYC NY, Poughkeepsie NY, Research Triangle Park NC and Southbury NY.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in Agile
  • Experience in Programing, DB2, JDBC, SQL, C/C++
  • Experience in Cloud Development platform. A minimum of 1 year knowledge/experience in development using at least two programming languages preferably Java/C++ and/or Python
  • Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming constructs and design principles.
  • Knowledge of development and deployment on a cloud based environment like IBM BlueMix, AWS, Azure etc.

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Preferred experience with UX design
  • Depth knowledge of three or more programming languages
  • Knowledge of Containers and Virtualization technologies preferably docker and KVM
  • Full-Stack development knowledge preferably MEAN or LAMP
  • Test-driven development knowledge/experience
  • DevOps knowledge/experience preferably using a Devops framework like UrbanCode Deploy
