In the AI Programming Models team, we work on programming-language innovation that makes AI practitioners more productive, including probabilistic programming, compilers, web-based productivity and collaboration tools, type systems, and notebooks. We have an ambitious AI research agenda, and we are hiring researchers to join our projects in the above-mentioned areas.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Expertise and experience in programming in one or more of these languages: Java, Python, C, C++, JavaScript, TypeScript
  • Advanced skill level in solving analytical problems using rigorous and quantitative approaches
  • Advanced skill level in creating and leveraging AI techniques, such as machine learning, probabilistic programming, NLP, knowledge induction, machine reasoning
  • Experience communicating your research in technical communities, such as publications in NIPS, AAAI, PLDI, ICSE, or similar

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or related technical fields
  • Advanced skill level with standard machine learning techniques and frameworks, such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, etc.
  • Experience implementing compilers, runtime systems, integrated development environments, etc.
  • Experience analyzing large-scale data from a variety of sources
  • Design, validation, and characterization of algorithms and/or systems
  • Contributing to open source projects
