As a Security Support Engineer - Intern, you will be instrumental in ensuring enterprise customers, business partners and IBM internals worldwide are successful in deploying, administering and troubleshooting IBM Security software. You will work closely with IBM Level 3, customers and Development to identify code defects and deliver fixes for mission critical environments. Our positions offer an opportunity to enhance your technical skills through partnership with a wide array of developers, designers, support and business professionals who are focused on the success of environments secured with industry-leading software.

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

Support customers on IBM Security Directory Server, which is within the IBM Security division
Support the IBM Security Directory Server team, for example, assisting in lab and virtual machine set-up and maintenance, or writing scripts to automate common support tasks

A foundation in software, leadership, problem solving, analytical thinking, multi-tasking, demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, as well as a focus on customer success is a plus.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 1 Year of education experience in programming
  • 1 year of customer facing or customer support experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Prior internship experience
