Job Description
The Security Program Manager utilizes project management training and experience to lead various project and operational based needs of the Cloud Security Operations Center. The Security Program Manager, with limited supervision, will perform duties as a primary point of contact for new work or responsibility requests received by the Cloud SOC. This includes fielding, directing, collecting and responding to incoming feature or functional additions or changes with the exception of security incident related requests. The Security Program Manager is also responsible for monitoring and tracking budgetary approvals, planning and month to month spending in conjunction with internal revenue and finance teams. Additional duties and responsibilities include assisting managers with metric gathering, dashboarding and reporting, tracking and reporting on training efforts team wide, maintaining and updating team roster and hiring as well as seating space planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily human resources requirements for project managers and availability managers
  • Assist in budget planning and track and report month to month on actual spend as projected against the approved department budget
  • Draft, update and maintain team organizational chart and staff seating chart against the projected team headcount
  • Assist managers in identifying, delivering and tracking staff training objectives including for Security Program Manager’s own direct reports
  • Assist in identifying, generating, collecting and reporting relevant utilization and efficacy metrics for all teams
  • Accept all incoming work and change requests for Security Operations as the Single POC
  • Develop and deliver progress and remediation reports and presentations as directed by Security Team leadership
  • Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and security management practices by adhering to required standards and processes
  • Understand and work effectively in a complex, matrixed environment
  • Proficient in all MS Office products
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or work (Computer Science, Project Management, etc.) related field is required


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Minimum 5 years of project management related work, preferably for cloud IT or security related business fields
  • Experience with Business Process documentation and requirements gathering
  • Experience working both independently and in a team oriented, collaborative environment
  • Recognize complex problems, analyze situations and provide suggested/implemented resolution(s)
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including executives, managers and subject matter experts
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to process improvement and measurement on behalf of the Security Team and clearly articulate recommended changes or reasons to deny requested additions or changes
  • Flexibility to conform to shifting priorities through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Prioritize work tasks and issues; direct work efforts and facilitate deficiency closure
  • Exhibit excellent written and oral communications skills and professionalism

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Industry recognized project management certification is preferred (e.g. PMP, etc.)
  • Industry recognized cloud, network or cyber security certification is preferred (e.g. CCSK, CISSP, CISM, SANS, etc.)
