The 100 Top Program Practice Leader is a member of the Enterprise Analytics Team, reporting to the 100 Top Hospitals Program Director. The Practice Leader is a deep content and methods expert on the 100 Top Program studies, presenting performance findings to health system, hospital, hospital association, and other healthcare segment executives and guiding interpretation and use of the performance profile results. This role is responsible for working with sales and client services teams to identify client performance improvement opportunities based on the 100 Top study reports. The Practice Leader also gathers client intelligence regarding business needs, using this insight to propose updates that add value to the 100 Top studies and to create more effective messages for C-suite engagement. This role requires some travel to healthcare provider sites for presentations to health system and hospital leadership. As part of these engagements, the 100 Top Program Practice Leader acts as a trusted advisor to client C-suite executives on performance improvement opportunities and strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Monitors changes in Federal, state and private sector policy that impact healthcare industry payment systems and performance measurement and develops proposals for modifications to the 100 Top studies to address the changes
  • Collaborates with internal provider product and consulting teams to create synergies between 100 Top and products and services
  • Supports sales and client services by delivering 100 Top presentations to prospective and existing health systems, hospitals, hospital associations, payer and other interested clients; and serves as a content expert, both internally and externally, addressing 100 Top methodology and content
  • Carries out analytics and report development for paid client engagements, including coordinating Development team involvement, as needed
  • Collaborates with the 100 Top Program Team on annual measures/methods revision implementation and the study production cycle
  • Participates in the review of study results for content integrity year over year and development of findings for publication, in collaboration with the 100 Top Program Team
  • Responds to internal and external inquiries about the 100 Top data, methodologies and findings and provides analytic support in investigating client issues
Education and Experience
  • Doctorate or Master’s level degree in healthcare-related field or business management, or Bachelor’s with equivalent experience
  • Minimum of ten years quality management or administrative experience in a healthcare services delivery setting; hospital experience required including working with hospital data and performance measurement systems
  • Experience with delivering compelling presentations to multiple levels, including senior healthcare leadership
Skills
  • Proven ability to communicate verbally and in written media
  • Strong personal presence and ability to command the attention of health system and hospital C-suites and Board members
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications; Tableau or other business intelligence software
  • Knowledge of MEDPAR claims data; CMS Hospital Compare metrics; hospital cost reports and other public hospital data sets
  • Recognized industry thought leader and published peer-reviewed articles and other thought leadership pieces a plus


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Minimum of ten years quality management or administrative experience in a healthcare services delivery setting; hospital experience required including working with hospital data and performance measurement systems
  • Experience with delivering compelling presentations to multiple levels, including senior healthcare leadership
  • 25% travel required as well as monthly travel to the Ann Arbor office if located outside of the area
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications; Tableau or other business intelligence software


Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Doctorate or Master’s level degree in healthcare-related field or business management
  • Proven ability to communicate verbally and in written media
  • Strong personal presence and ability to command the attention of health system and hospital C-suites and Board members
