Job Description
IBM Watson Campaign Automation is searching for an Agile Release Manager/Project Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude towards project management coupled with a keen sense of identifying risk to a products release in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) deployment model. Additionally, top-notch communication skills are required to support multiple development teams and manage inter-squad dependencies.

IBM Watson Campaign Automation is a sophisticated SaaS-based marketing automation product and is part of the larger Watson Commerce Enterprise portfolio. The platform is continually evolving and moving forward with the latest development methodologies including Agile and Continuous Delivery, and leveraging newer technologies involving Cognitive capabilities.

The Agile Release Manager will be part of a team working towards managing the continuous delivery pipeline of Watson Campaign Automation. S/he will foster proactive communication and escalation of delivery risks, assist in development tracking, facilitate pipeline status and risk discussions. Communication is critical for this role, as s/he will work closely with key leaders across the Offering Management, Product Development, Operations, and Client Support organizations.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 2 years of proven project/product management skills in a SaaS development environment.
  • Manage risks and resolve issues that affect deployment scope, schedule and quality.
  • Experience in an Agile development environment using Kanban, Scrum, Continuous Delivery or similar.
  • Agile certification such as Scrum Master, SAFe Practitioner or similar highly desired.
  • Experience with an Agile tracking tool such as Jira, Github, Version One or similar.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for all aspects of this position.

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Working knowledge of build and deployment tools (Jenkins, Chef, Urban Code)
  • Foreign (non-English) languages would be a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
