Job Description
IBM Watson Campaign Automation is searching for a Senior Security Analyst who is an expert in both computer security and software development. The ideal candidate will have a security focus specializing in web application software testing, along with an Agile development background in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model.

IBM Watson Campaign Automation is a sophisticated SaaS-based marketing automation product and is part of the larger Watson Commerce Enterprise portfolio. The platform is continually evolving and moving forward with the latest development methodologies including Agile and Continuous Delivery, and leveraging newer technologies involving Cognitive capabilities.
The security analyst will be the key security focal within the Product Development organization. S/he will work closely with Engineering, QA and operational support to assist with secure design and training in these methodologies. The candidate will interface with IBM Security compliance teams ensuring our products maintain adherence to security and private standards such as GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI, and SOC2. Additionally, s/he will be responsible for response to security incidents that arise.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Deep understanding of database-driven, multi-tiered web applications in a multi-tenant load-balanced environment.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with email, push, and/or SMS infrastructures and messaging standards.
  • Fluency with mechanisms in which modern web applications can be attacked.
  • Ability to analyze pen test and WASA test results with the goal to evaluate risk and determine vulnerability and exposure of the identified item.
  • Ability to effectively communicate security incidents and vulnerabilities with both technical and non-technical peers.
  • Experience with secure design, threat modeling, security testing (ie. Pen testing), and web application scanning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required for all aspects of this position.

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Experience with a wide array of development technologies such as Linux, Java, Javascript, Apache, Tomcat, Angular, Dojo, etc.
  • Foreign (non-English) languages would be a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
