We are currently searching for Development Operations (DevOps) Generalist to work the night shift. The night shift is 12 am - 8 am; the work days are Sunday through Thursday OR Tuesday through Saturday.
Our Development Operations Team supports the systems that provide IBM’s best-in-class hosting platform. Our Development Operations Engineers are responsible for deploying, monitoring, and maintaining complex solutions to meet the needs of the business and our customers. We are seeking individuals with demonstrated initiative who take pride in their work.
As an DevOps Generalist, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Interfacing with customers on support matters
Managing proper customer expectations
Day to day maintenance and upkeep of existing server fleet
Update, test, and support software application systems
Work with internal customers to create and deploy solutions for new and existing services
Configure and deploy systems to support new data center expansion
Work with support and development teams to troubleshoot complex problems
Participate in weekly on-call rotation and actively respond to escalations and alerts
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Minimum of 1 year of experience in systems administration or devops role with linux/Unix Operation Systems such as RedHat, CentOS.
Minimum of 1 years of experience in troubleshooting
Excellent verbal, written, and teaming skills, organizational abilities and demonstrated multi-tasking abilities
Able to work the night shift hours: 12 am - 8 am; Sunday through Thursday OR Tuesday through Saturday
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems administration or devops
Minimum of 3 years of experience in troubleshooting
Minimum of 2 years of experience in automation tools like chef or ansible
Minimum of 1 years of experience in production software development process such as release management, builds, version control, etc
