Job Description
IBM is seeking a Semiconductor Packaging Process Integration Engineer to work at its T. J. Watson Research Lab in Yorktown Heights, NY.

We are seeking candidates with background in semiconductor processing to work on the development of device / packaging fabrication processes that are compatible with cryogenic temperature operation.

Candidates should have experience in the following:
  • Unit process and integration of Front End of Line (FEOL)
  • Back End of Line (BEOL), or Far Back End of Line (FBEOL)
  • Experience in chip packaging is preferred.

The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team in a Research and Development environment and a must be a self-motivated team player with a demonstrated track record of working effectively with others to accomplish challenging goals.

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or equivalent is required.

US Citizenship is required for this position.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Basic knowledge in microelectronics materials and process integration.
  • Experience in materials science research.
  • Ability to obtain the appropriate security clearance.
  • US Citizenship.

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience in microelectronics materials and process integration.
  • At least 1 year of experience in microelectronics packaging engineering.
  • Experience working in a clean room environment.
  • Appropriate security clearance.
