You are collaborative, knowledgeable, strategic, and have strong technology acumen. Combined with your deep expertise in field marketing, you should be able to leverage your product expertise and balance thinking strategically with your ability to execute quickly.

As an IBM Power Systems NA Product and Field Marketing Manager, you must have a deep understanding of our Power Systems offerings, markets and buyers to plan, organize, and execute programs that generate new prospects and advance existing opportunities for the sales team.

You will work closely with sales leadership to create and deliver sales enablement in support of the marketing programs, launches and Power Systems offerings. You will act as a liaison between marketing, business partners, field sales, business development, and demand functions. working in a fast paced environment managing multiple projects.

You will work with:
  • NA Systems and Market Sales
  • WW and NA product marketing
  • NA Business partner and channels
  • NA category, industry and profession marketing teams.
  • NA demand generation and events
  • Sales enablement
  • Marketing communications and operations

Your responsibilities include:
  • Defining the market opportunity by category, industry and segment
  • Informing product requirements based on North America requirements
  • Identifying key NA competitors, defining and executing competitive marketing and sales plays to take market share
  • Writing and socializing the IBM Power Systems NA marketing and enablement plan
  • Developing and implementing pipeline acceleration programs and target account strategy
  • Working with the Events team, researching, choosing and designing key events.
  • Leading the creation of category, industry, and profession based content
  • Working with the customer reference team, develop customer references, testimonials and case studies for external and internal use
  • Defining and driving customer retention, limiting customer attrition and improving NPS values.

Must have the ability to work in the US without current/future need for IBM sponsorship.

This role is located in IBM offices in Austin, Texas.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 8+ years of B2B marketing experience
  • 6+ years of product marketing experience
  • Proven experience working with sales teams and supporting programs to drive awareness and sales
  • Inbound marketing strategy and/or execution experience

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Infrastructure technology marketing experience
  • Field marketing experience
  • Sales experience
