This role is part of the Global Internet of Things (IoT) Marketing team. A “thing” is any object with embedded electronics that can transfer data over a network — without any human interaction. Examples are wearable devices, environmental sensors, machinery in factories, devices in homes and buildings, or components in a vehicle. It is a rapidly growing market and Watson IoT is a leader with industry solutions in automotive, electronics, energy and utilities, insurance, manufacturing and retail and business solutions around product development, asset and facilities management

A Campaign Manager owns lead-generation strategy and execution, and are accountable for campaign performance and revenue goals. They do so by bringing together a cross functional team of product, content, digital, event marketing peers and marketing automation and database specialists to collaborate on the creation and execution of engaging and compelling customer journeys. They collaborate with offering management, sales and geography teams. They bring an audience-first, data driven, outcomes focused approach to planning and overseeing the campaign strategy, designing the customer journey throughout the life of a project.

The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, collaborative, and able to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment. They must execute effectively against multiple projects and deadlines and demonstrate an ability to take initiative, anticipate needs and exercise independent and sound judgment. The successful candidate will be creative, detail oriented, and have an analytical aptitude with a sales mentality. They typically have strong marketing automation and analytical skills.
Specifically this role will lead VP of Engineering Campaign and IoT Industry campaigns that will help drive our Connected Products portfolio of offerings.

This role is located in IBM offices in Raleigh, North Carolina

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, campaign management or related disciplines (preferred digital marketing or agency experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in leading complex projects
  • Experience or familiarity with Marketing Automation

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree
