IBM Security will be essential to clients in 2018 to optimize their security programs, stop advanced threats, protect critical assets, and to safeguard cloud and mobile. To help support our continued growth, we are seeking a MaaS360 and Cloud Identity Enterprise First Line Manager to join the IBM team!
The IBM MaaS360 and Cloud Identity Enterprise First Line Manager will be accountable for driving MaaS360 and Cloud Identity product results within IBM's top customers. The FLM will manage a direct team of sales specialists who are responsible for growing MaaS360 and Cloud Identity sales across North America within the Financial Services, Industrial and Canadian markets, as well as liaise with the broader Security and S&D sales teams in meeting our Security sales objectives in North America. The FLM will ensure linkage to North America Security Market Leaders, and will engage our Partner Channel team extensively. Additionally, the FLM will contribute to integrated Security Service and Product solutions for clients, to promote Security business unit growth.
The FLM will serve as a role model, inspiring their team (both direct and extended) and peers, driving client value and establishing a culture of sales excellence and eminence. This is a direct client facing role, and the FLM will set the example by calling extensively on clients and partners. The FLM will execute (with Marketing teams) pipeline development and sales execution initiatives. The FLM and their team will be measured primarily on SaaS signings. Secondary performance measurements include pipeline development execution and progression, and development of market, route and industry specific sales plays and results.
Additional responsibilities include:
  • Maintain a high level of IBM solution expertise and competitive intelligence.
  • Develop internal relationships with all functional areas within IBM including Business Partners.
Key Attributes
  • Ability to interface within a multi-brand matrix sales organization including markets, business units and business partners.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, a positive attitude, a team player, and the ability to achieve set targets.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key markets
  • Ability to assist sales reps in navigating decision making processes within Fortune 1000 and enterprise accounts.
  • Passionate about security technologies
Required Expertise
  • Candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Readiness to travel 20% annually.
  • English: Fluent.
  • Candidates must have at least 5 years of relevant IT sales and / or consulting experience.
  • Candidates must have Management experience, performance management experience, and strong collaboration experience proven through previous roles.


Preferred Expertise
  • Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience with IBM sales organization, business processes and supporting technology is highly desired.
  • Security or mobile experience
  • Experience working in specific industries is a plus in identifying trends, key IT challenges and drivers.
The position is based out of Philadelphia market

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Readiness to travel 20% annually.
  • English: Fluent.
  • Candidates must have at least 5 years of relevant IT sales and / or consulting experience.
  • Candidates must have Management experience, performance management experience, and strong collaboration experience proven through previous roles.


Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Master’s degree is preferred.
