Job Description
IBM new products organization in Rochester Minnesota is search of a Manufacturing Process Engineer to:
  • Develop quality and robust processes to manufacture new products efficiently
  • Document processes and changes in a clear manor
  • Solve complex problems
  • Act as the interface to development and manufacturing to collectively define new products and fulfill internal product order demand
  • Implement engineering changes
  • Setup manufacturing floor control systems to control materials used to build products
  • Assist manufacturing in initial builds to define processes as early as the prototype phase
  • Support builds in a development laboratory environment
Skills:
  • Ability to deal with complex problems
  • Effective communication in a cross organization, cross brand environment
  • Leadership, able to provide limited work direction to manufacturing fulfillment area
  • Able to work independently but also comfortable with receiving direction from full-time engineering peers
  • Prefer candidate with previous internship in a similar role


The ideal intern candidate will obtain satisfaction from seeing the code they wrote or enhanced being applied and used by many.
