The Digital Strategy Associate Partner is responsible for defining and executing digital strategies and transformational initiatives for large-scale organizations in the Distribution sector industry Travel and Transportation for IBM Global Business Services. In this role, the Associate Partner must be able to shape, sell and deliver strategic digital programs and solutions to existing and prospective clients. You will have direct responsibility for revenue growth in solutioning, estimating and positioning industry based offerings to drive client outcomes from proposal to implementation. This is a hands-on business development role in a complex environment, leading business case development and working with industry consultants to develop/maintain go-to-market solution templates and assets. You must be able to build trusted client relationships, including at the C level and have the ability to handle ambiguity and create opportunity from complexity. The Associate Partner is accountable for performance, client satisfaction and profitability for projects led.  

The Associate Partner must be a proven team leader with critical thinking skills. They will have a proven track record in managing diverse teams delivering against tight deadlines in fast paced and demanding environment. The role demands a strong a sense of urgency as well as communication skills to ensure the team is quality, results and outcomes focused.  

The ideal Associate Partner is a digital thought leader and industry subject matter expert. With significant experience in digital channels, omni-channel, eco-systems and integrated back-end systems with a depth of knowledge in enabling technologies such as: Analytics and BI, Big Data, Cloud, Mobility, Social, Automation, Enterprise Portals, Enterprise Content Management, SOA and Integration and Design Thinking.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 20 years of professional experience of 20 years with at least 10 years in digital, strategy consulting and/or transportation & services industry experience  
  • At least 10 years experience with a proven business development and sales track record 
  • At least 10 years of experience in proposal and business case development
  • At least 10 years experience in Team Leadership and Management
  • Experience in channel, system integration and enabling technologies
  • Industry Domain knowledge in one or two vertical industries

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Knowledge in emerging technologies such as Cognitive, AI/Deep Learning, IoT/E and Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality
  • Experience with Agile design concepts with the ability to ensure stakeholder management
