IBM's Curam software solutions team, part of IBM Watson Health is now searching for Technical Consultants with Curam experience to join our team!

As a Technical Consultant in the Watson Health Curam team, you will have responsibility in the delivery of project implementations. You will join a team working with customers to meet business objectives and project implementations while embracing emerging technologies, new standards and solving complex problems.
You will continue to develop expertise in the technical aspects of Curam solutions and work closely with clients, systems integration partners and team at project sites.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Facilitate requirements and fit/gap workshops with client staff on technical topics and non-functional requirements
• Create functional and technical designs for Curam extensions and configurations, such as workflow and/or rules.
• Develop, code and unit test Curam extensions in a J2EE environment.
• Investigate and resolve situations where actual test results do not match expected test results.
• Work closely with client and partner staff on matters related to the Curam Business Application Suite (CBAS) technical architecture and be able to deliver communications both written and verbal
• Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with fellow employees, System Integration partners and clients, to promote Cúram Software’s technical credibility as a capable and trusted partner.
• Utilize Eclipse framework to implement Curam solutions

• Maintain industry standard version controls

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information technology related
  • At least 3 years’ experience in an hands-on computer related role, such developer, application programmer, technical consultant, etc
  • At least 1 year experience in Curam software product and services
  • At least 1 year experience in Java /JEE/ J2EE development
  • knowledge in UML
  • knowledge of relational databases (DB2 or Oracle) and SQL


Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience in Curam software product and services
  • At least 1 year experience in business processes or understanding of core functionality of health and human services programs (e.g., Medicaid, welfare, food stamp, medical assistance, child protection, child support, or unemployment insurance)
  • At least 1 year experience in implementation of ERP or commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) package software
  • Experience with the Eclipse Integrated Development Environment, or Eclipse based IDE products such as IBM Rational Application Developer is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Software Configuration Management / version control products such as IBM Rational ClearCase, CVS, Subversion
