Job Description
Reliability engineering position in the Technology Reliability and Quality Group in IBM. The candidate should have a background in physics and electrical engineering, including MOS device physics, electrical characterization, and circuit design. Experience with Spice simulations is a must. Knowledge of reliability issues such as bias-temperature instability (BTI) and Hot carrier degradation (HCI) desired but not required. An understanding of microelectronics process technology is beneficial. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that IBM’s server chips are reliable from a micro-electronics point of view. This position requires working in a coupled team environment and driving interactions with other teams including product stress, failure analysis, product performance and research organizations. The successful candidate will be self-motivated with a sense of urgency and a drive for technical excellence.

  • MOS device physics, electrical characterization
  • Circuit Simulation and layout experience


Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Microelectronics Process Technology. Reliability understanding.
