IBM Global Business Services (GBS) is hiring an SAP Ariba Leader with a focus on business development and selling, as well as delivery of SAP Ariba solutions. Join our dynamic consulting team and work with some of the world's most essential clients across a variety of industries.

Proficiency in developing channel & client relationships, identifying & closing new business, developing thought leadership with content as well as a visionary outlook in SAP are required. This is a hands-on sales role in a complex environment. Responsibilities include providing advice & counsel to clients and SAP.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate and support demand creation activities within new and existing IBM clients
  • Lead sales activities and pursuits, including all phases of business development including deal qualification, solution development, execution of customer responses and presentations, and contracting and delivery of the proposed solution
  • Manage multiple, complex sales and delivery engagements simultaneously
  • Provide leadership and executive oversight to key delivery engagements
  • Assist in the growth and development of the practice by providing hands-on leadership and direction
  • Contribute to the growth of intellectual capital and support the development of other consultants through mentoring and/or coaching activities

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 5 years of experience and expertise with SAP Ariba solution, including but not limited to Sourcing, Contracts, Procure to Pay (PTP), and analytics areas
  • At least 3 years of experience in business development and sales of Ariba consulting services
  • Experience in developing and applying frameworks and tools across procurement functions (i.e. sourcing, contracts, PTP)
  • At least 5 years of experience in the area of procurement
  • At least 5 years of experience working for a consulting services organization as a consultant

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • At least five years Ariba practice management experience
  • At least eight years of technical knowledge of Ariba solutions and products
  • At least six full life-cycle implementations of Ariba applications
  • At least eight years’ experience in a consulting role
