Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world.​ Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Azure Modernization Projects:
* Architect and implement Azure solutions for Windows 365, new Azure regions, Azure VWAN, and UTS modernization.
* Oversee the development of disaster recovery solutions, including deployments in the new US Central Azure region.

Security & Compliance:
* Conduct Conditional Policy Reviews to identify external applications that are not using MFA and implement remediation plans.
* Lead Sentinel integrations for SIEM migration to enhance security monitoring and incident response.
* Drive API threat protection initiatives, including Proof of Concept (PoC) for Defender for APIs.

Application and SAP Migration:
* Lead the migration of SAP systems from co-location facilities to Azure, ensuring minimal downtime and optimized performance.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless application integration and security enhancements.

Technical Leadership:
* Partner with AppSec teams to enhance application security through integrations and best practices.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to development and operations teams on Azure capabilities and best practices.
* Serve as the technical liaison between clients, internal teams, and Azure product groups.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience:
* +5 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in architecting and implementing Azure solutions.
* Proven experience in Azure networking, including VWAN and multi-region implementations.
* Strong background in cloud migration projects, especially SAP migrations to Azure.

Technical Expertise:
* Deep knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Sentinel, Azure Defender, Azure VWAN, and disaster recovery solutions.
* Strong understanding of MFA policies, API security (Defender for APIs), and SIEM integrations.
* Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like ARM, Terraform, or Bicep.
* Familiarity with SAP systems and their integration into Azure environments.

Certifications (preferred):
* Azure Solutions Architect Expert
* Azure Security Engineer Associate
* Azure Networking Specialist
* SAP on Azure certification is a plus.

Languages:
* Fluent in English (written and spoken).
