Responsibilities:
As a Full Stack Application Developer, you will:

Design, develop and/or re-engineer complex application components, and integrate software packages, programs and reusable objects residing on multiple platforms
Develop and maintain web applications using VueJS on the frontend and NodeJS on the backend
Build applications for IBMers around the world, demonstrating agile and dynamic software support capabilities
Be responsible for maintenance and improvement of critical IBM internal applications
Perform application development based on Agile methodologies & participate in requirements / user story analysis, design and execution
Conduct appropriate unit and module testing; detect, report, investigate and fix defects in the application (production support)
Continually focus on improving the application
Work effectively in collaboration with other team members, partners and other support functions when required
Develop back-end processes and APIs required by front-end applications

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Minimum 5 – 10 years of relevant years of experience in develop and maintain web applications using VueJS on the frontend and NodeJS on the backend and other related technologies
Knowledge of OOP languages and MVC framework along with the Component Development in Action Script
Ability to independently analyze requirements based on a given specification and come up with a sound and balanced algorithmic design

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
Experience with Design Thinking methods to understand personas and develop great user design
Demonstrated ability to operate within short release cycles
Experience using modern collaboration tools in a highly-resposive environment
Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes

Modernizing legacy systems and integrating disparate applications to improve interoperability and reduce technical debt.
Collaborating with other departments and teams to align technology efforts with broader corporate objectives.
Providing guidance and expertise on technology trends, best practices, and standards.
This team comprises professionals with diverse backgrounds in software engineering, data science, network architecture, and security. By fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, the team strives to achieve its mission of making IBM the most productive company in the world
