Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Security Verify Adapters are the systems integration “glue” that link the Verify server products, such as IBM Security Verify Governance Identity Manager and IBM Security Verify Governance, to the customer’s enterprise systems. Adapters enforce identity security policies on the customer’s servers and applications. You will be part of our larger ISVG adapters development team based in the Gandhinagar location and participate in all aspects of adapter development and customer support.
Team requires a Developer Manager who can work closely with them to create an open, thoughtful, and high-performance team that delivers a polished experience for our end users.
As a Developer Manager, you need to be hands-on highly technical manager who will contribute to technical deliverables as well as manage the team, which is responsible for building components of our product, from the UI to its backend components. You will be a people manager too and you will be responsible for the career growth of each team member. Performance reviews, weekly 1-on-1s, interviewing, hiring, onboarding will be some of your activities
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 10+ years of IT experience.
- Proven experience with one of the programming languages.
- Proven technical and communication skills.
- Comfortable with handling conflicts.
- Emotionally intelligent, Open minded and with a Growth Mindset.
- Build, grow and manage our team.
- Hire and onboard new team members.
- Perform performance reviews and 1on1s with each team member.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to team members.
- Define, together with team members, their career trajectory within IBM and work to make them successful.
- Help managing other teams.
- Collaborate with technical team leaders to organize the work of the team.
- Promote and implement collaboration and communication improvements within the team and across teams of the organization.
- Maintain a constant overview of the team’s work progress and workload to share with stakeholders if necessary.
- Be a role model within the team, and in case technical help is required, be ready to provide it.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience in managing people’s work, workflows and results (also outside “software engineering”)
- Hands-on highly technical development manager who contributes to the teams day to day deliverables.
- Strong coordination with other development managers to guarantee smooth collaboration and communication across teams
- Strong experience in customer interactions and delivering products with strong quality as per customer expectations.
