Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop language parsers written in C and C++.
  • Work in an agile, collaborative environment across software architecture, understanding both front-end and back-end concerns, while specializing in the back-end.
  • Develop using object oriented programming, multi-threading and concurrency.
  • Work with client-server architectures, networking protocols, application development, and databases.
  • Understand user and system requirements for multi user solutions.
  • Use and develop REST API services.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • C & C++ developer with at least 5 years of proven recent experience in developing and debugging UNIX/LINUX/Windows based C/C++ programs/applications.
  • Deep understanding of C & C++ programming language data structures, common programming idioms, design patterns and algorithms (using common libraries like stl, boost).
  • Proficiency with SQL language, experience with relational databases and schema design.
  • Familiarity with Python language -for the internal tool-chain.
  • Performance-oriented developer with a passion and experience in finding most optimized, performing solutions. Experience in performance profiling, memory consumption investigations and the related tools.
  • Availability to learn common Mainframe specific concepts and languages: COBOL, PL/I, JCL, Assembler, transaction and hierarchical database systems (CICS, IMS) and availability to gain knowledge in lesser known languages and dialects (E.g.: Natural, IDMS, Adabas, DT Cobol, etc).


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Knowledge of lexing and parsing techniques and algorithms (E.g. top-down manual parsing, regex, grammar-based parser generators -Bison, ANTLR)
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with Linux specific C++ development tool-chain.
  • Experience with cross cutting aspects of authentication, authorization and security. Experience building API driven interfaces.
  • DevOps Experience (GitHub, CI/CD such as Jenkins, Automation such as Ansible/Python).
  • Exposure to software containerization and cloud technologies (E.g.: Docker, OpenShift, K8S)
