AI Vision Researcher- Research Lab
IBM Research Scientists are charting the future of Artificial Intelligence, creating breakthroughs in quantum computing, discovering how blockchain will reshape the enterprise, and much more. Join a team that is dedicated to applying science to some of today’s most complex challenges, whether it’s discovering a new way for doctors to help patients, teaming with environmentalists to clean up our waterways or enabling retailers to personalize customer service.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Are you a scientist at heart, excited to push the boundaries of the modern DL based computer vision state-of-the-art? Would you like to work on research that has a far-reaching impact on real products? Do you have a drive to publish academic papers? Will your research benefit from industry scale computational (GPU) resources?
We invite you to join a strong group of computer vision and deep learning experts, highly focused on academic research, with a significant academic publication record in top-tier AI conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, AAAI). Join us in the AI Vision group @ IBM Research AI and experience one of the few research organizations in Israel that successfully combines the best of academia and industry. We focus on innovations that matter to IBM and to the world, combining that with our extreme curiosity and passion for world class research.
As a research scientist in our AI Vision group, you will focus on the most exciting topics in modern computer vision, involving: learning with no or very limited supervision (self-supervised, semi-supervised, and few-shot learning); working with a mixture of different data modalities (e.g., images and text); utilizing and extending the most advanced current architectures (e.g., transformers) and the most popular DL platforms (e.g., PyTorch). You’ll work in a heterogeneous and supportive team, with people who are always happy to give or receive advice, and enjoy working together. You’ll conduct academic research that will form strong publications in top-tier venues to advance your scientific career, while at the same time delivering innovation and making a significant impact on IBM products.
