Your Role and Responsibilities
The Thought-Leadership Content Experience squad is a brand-new team under Content and Social Experience. Its broad remit is to build a centralized point of view and working model for IBM’s approach to thought-leadership as a driver of brand relevance with key audiences.

Specifically, all of IBM’s thought-leadership channels, including blogs and podcasts, will be governed by the strategy this team sets, working in close collaboration with content, brand/messaging and other social channels. The strategy will showcase the best of our content in a way that is engaging and inspiring for our audience, and a growth-driver of IBM’s relevance.

The team is seeking an editorial strategy lead to build alignment and delight across blogs, podcasts and emerging platforms. This lead will help maximize the great content already in existence and collaborate with the content team on building new content franchises that target specific audiences and their needs. This bold, creative but analytical thinker will be comfortable working across content types and platforms, using a combination of data and great editorial instinct to get us to the right content mix.

While the role is not a day-to-day writing and editing gig, the lead must be a genius with the red pen and be able to write a killer brief. And the data part? You must be able to confidently know who your audience is, where they hang out when they’re not with us and what drives them to engage and even advocate.
