IBM Quantum is seeking a Systems Integration Lead who will be able to coordinate the build, characterization and subsequent deployment of a quantum system or a family of systems. These systems represent the cutting edge of technology and qubit count and continue to increase in the level of complexity. The ideal candidate will not only have the right technical background to understand what it takes to assemble a superconducting qubit-based system (both cryogenic and room temperature components) but also have clarity on how to improve qubit performance. An integral part of the role will be to have program and project management skills, ability to work across teams, ensuring plans and alternatives are in place to meet schedules. This position can be located in Yorktown Heights or Poughkeepsie, NY.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics
- 3-5 years experience in working with quantum computers
- Experience with software tools ro enable automation; experience with Python
- 2-3 years experience managing complex projects
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders in the organization and facilitating decision-making
- Experience and ability to deliver in a time-constrained environment
- Experience with project management tools
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience in superconducting-qubit based quantum computing
- Experience in cloud deployment and detailed characterization of quantum computing systems
