Your Role and Responsibilities

Job description: Research on foundation model for materials and chemicals using machine learning
Skill set: Materials informatics, AI (deep learning), material science/chemistry
Language: English/Japanese
Period:>3 months, negotiable
Time:9:00~17:36 (default)
Reduced working hours can be negotiated:

Salary(Daily):
9,700yen (for master’s)」/10,900yen (for doctoral students)」(in case housing allowance is unnecessary)
15,700yen (for master’s)」/16,900yen (for doctoral students)」(including housing allowance)
Commuting cost will be paid.

For foreign residents coming to Japan to participate in an internship, please apply at least 4 months prior to the desired start date in order to prepare for the VISA. In addition, the internship period must be at least 3 months. (This does not apply to foreign students living in Japan.)
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- AI (deep learning), machine learning
- Experience or interest in materials informatics
- Experience in using Python, GitHub, and Hugging Face
- Accepted technical papers with a peer review
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Knowledge/experience in materials informatics
- Experience in state-of-the-art AI models (e.g. Transformer)
