The TBM Council is seeking a Program Manager, Awards & Case Studies, for an expanding team managing our Technology Business Management (TBM) community.
With over 15,000 members and scaling fast, the TBM Council is a non-profit open ecosystem underwritten by IBM. The Council staff are full-time employees of IBM who manage all aspects of the foundation’s operations, strategy, membership, events, certification, and standards, working in partnership with the TBMC board and
community members.
Reporting to either the Marketing Leader or the Director of Operations & Community, this manager will focus on the planning, execution, and promotion of TBM Council’s awards programs. In addition, this role manages the identification, creation, and publication of award winners and other user case studies and testimonials. You will partner closely with all functions of the Council staff and teams, practitioners, and leaders across the TBM community, as well as IBM. The ideal candidate brings strong experience and expertise across project and program management, customer success, and marketing communications.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Develop TBM Council’s global awards program strategy with Council leadership and cross-functional partners
- Create and manage an awards calendar with all award details, including entry deadlines, judging, and event dates, and post-award PR and social media
- Develop, implement, and oversee a cohesive award entry submission process for multiple award categories
- Lead educational, alignment, and inspirational sessions and content to build and maintain award submission excellence
- Manage the awards budget, including the cost of designing and ordering physical awards for winners
- Leverage publicity opportunities with the PR team, promoting TBM Council award achievements
- Strategize with marketing and other Council members and partners to standardize entry submissions
- Secure jury seats and thought-leadership opportunities for TBM Council board members, executives, and senior practitioners
- Ensure a fair, equitable, and consistent judging process
- Serve as main point of contact for all award winners, including gathering information for awards ceremony, meet and greet during conference
- Create and manage email communications and integrated marketing for the awards, including entrant emails, newsletters and event invitations
- Develop content for key email campaigns ensuring key messages are consistent with brand tone
- Draft winner testimonials, case studies and/or press releases and manage review and approval process
- Leverage winner case studies across an integrated marketing program
- Edit and proofread written pieces before publication

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Self-directed and detail-oriented with a collaborative and professional team spirit to contribute to a collegial, team-oriented environment
- 2-5 years’ relevant experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment, background with a technology company or a technical community is ideal
- Ideally, an understanding of the TBM model and discipline and experience working with both leaders and practitioners of TBM
- Knowledge of FinOps, SAFe and other related disciplines is an advantage
- Experience working with an open source or other industry community and ability to build engagement and scale with a community
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset
- Team player able to work with virtual and global cross-functional teams
- Ability to travel up to 10%, including potential international travel
