Your Role and Responsibilities
As the Solution Architect, you will engage with clients to determine their needs and consultatively advise them. You will then leverage the needed technologies, architectures, integrations, and tooling to define the appropriate solution enabling the sales and services delivery teams across the organization. You will define the activity descriptions, the required activities per the scope, any required deliverables, the client’s responsibilities, RACI chart if required, work breakdown structures, sufficient for inclusion in contracts. You will estimate the work breakdown sufficient for service sellers to price the delivery contract.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• 5+ years’ experience in a Solution Architect role.
• Understand current and envision future business problems facing our customers when solutioning.
• 5+ years deep experience and comfort level interfacing directly with customers in face to face and/or remote engagements
• Ability to define migration solutions from competitor cloud platforms using IBM & third-party products and tooling.
• Experience in estimating solution services effort with IBM Automation and IBM Business Automation Software in one or more of the following areas: Integration & Development, Management & Platform, Business Automation, Enterprise Content Management, and AIOPS software as well as migrations from competitive platforms.
• Experience solutioning with Cloud Paks and containers (RedHat OpenShift/Kubernetes and supporting products).
• 5+ years Business Development experience through Technical Solution presentation translating the client’s requirements into a proposed solution.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• Additional skills such as networking, storage, infrastructure, DBA, and AI desired • Be efficient in Agile development skills, tooling, and methodologies. • Knowledgeable in software engineering including API and microservices development. • Understanding of core Cloud Pak for Business Automation modules and integrating them with other tools. • Comfortable working independently and as part of a broader team in a dynamic environment with changing priorities • Apply an understanding of industry trends to deliver solutions. • Be willing to take risks and quickly learn from mistakes while working in a complex/matrix managed organizational environment. |
