Your Role and Responsibilities
An IBM Cloud Engineer with Power systems skills plays a crucial role in implementing and managing robust and secure cloud environments based on IBM Power Systems.
They possess strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, system administration, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
This individual is proficient in automating deployment processes using tools like Ansible and Terraform.
Additionally, they have experience working with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud and are familiar with various cloud architecture patterns.
They are expected to design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly available cloud solutions while ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulations.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role, as they frequently collaborate with cross-functional teams and address complex issues related to cloud infrastructure.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Strong understanding of Power Systems architecture and administration
  • Experience with Linux operating system and scripting languages like Python and shell scripts
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with public clouds like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions
  • Understanding of security concepts and compliance standards required qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in systems engineering or DevOps role
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Go, or C++
  • Experience with cloud provider APIs and SDKs
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
