Your Role and Responsibilities
Roles and responsibilities:

As a data analyst, you will be responsible for:
  • Translate business requirements into “high-level” design solutions, including mapping documents and SQL
  • Participate in regular standups and prioritisation sessions.
  • Create test cases and prototypes; perform tests in development, testing, and production.
  • Analyse and validate data from sources


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, computer science, or similar
  • Knowledge of mainframe concepts would be a plus.
  • Hands-on experience in mainframe hardware: CECs, engines, MIPS, memory, LPARs, features, orders
  • Experience in mainframe software: licenses, value metrics, aggregation, MSUs, value units
  • Expertise in mainframe revenue: hardware, software, brands/divisions, majors/minors, unbundling
  • Familiarity with advanced concepts is a plus. leasing, maintenance, storage, royalties, sub-capacity, on-demand offerings
  • Required experience with DB2 or another relational database system
  • Required experience with data warehouse
  • Required expert-level SQL skills
  • Knowledge of relational database theory and database design
  • Experience synthesising business requirements into technical designs
  • Familiarity with the DevOps approach to software dev/test/deploy/maintain
  • Familiarity with the Agile approach to software development
  • Experience working in a mainframe development environment is a plus.
