Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Governance Support Specialist, you will:
- Support implementation governance structures and processes across the organization.
- Support proper governance, including the creation of policies and guidelines that comply with Federal travel regulations.
- Ensure organizational adherence to governance policies and guidelines
- Review regulations, assess risk strategies and/or overseeing compliance audits
- Facilitate workshops and planning sessions
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience managing and rolling out complex SAP (or other large ERP) programs across multiple business units
- Convey complex governance and compliance issues in a clear, succinct and impactful manner to various stakeholders within the organization.
- Previous experience in the development of policy documentation (particularly information or data standards and guidelines preferred).
- Understanding of governance principles, including familiarity with the core objectives of data governance
- Strong verbal and written skills are essential.
- Ability to adapt to continuously changing environments.
- Facilitates workshops and planning sessions
- At least 2-3 years of federal program governance support
- Candidates local to the DMV area will be required to work onsite in the Reston, VA office Monday-Thursday.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
