Your Role and Responsibilities

Mission:

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Consultant/Delivery Manager with proven experience (>10 Years) in IT Service Delivery for large financial institutions. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in IT service delivery management, business intelligence and financial reporting systems with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions that meet business requirements and comply with industry regulations.

Challenges:

As a delivery manager, you will play a key role to develop the BI Strategy that empowers business users to translate complex data into actionable insights.
You have an extensive experience in delivering BI solutions & database management, principally on Power BI & SAP Business Objects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and guide a team of consultants, offering subject matter expertise in IT architecture, application modules, and financial processes.
  • Lead the development and delivery of enterprise-wide BI solutions to support the bank’s internal reporting needs, ensuring data quality and availability across departments.
  • Ensure timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality delivery of services and projects, particularly in financial closing and regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure high availability of all finance applications & processes such as monthly closing, management reporting, budget & forecasting (Board), cost allocation (SAP PCM), EAM retrocession (Quartal).
  • Work in close collaboration with Client’s IT Service Owners & multiple business teams.
  • Collaborate with internal and external clients, including auditors and Swiss/European regulatory bodies like Finma, to deliver solutions that meet compliance standards.
  • Understanding of Swiss and European compliance/regulatory standards and reporting needs like EMIR, FinfraG etc.
  • Design, Develop and deploy advanced SAP Business Objects & Power BI Solutions.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Mandatory IT skills with more than 8 years of experience:
    • Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft SSAS.
    • Knowledge of finance controlling applications – Quartal Commission, SAP PCM, Board.
    • Databases: Sybase IQ, Sybase ASE, Oracle, MySQL.
    • Languages: SQL, PL/SQL, KSH.
    • Tools: JIRA/Confluence/Control M, .NET Framework.
    • OS: UNIX/LUNIX, Windows
  • Banks financial controlling processes & tools.

    • Complete knowledge of Bank’s weekly, monthly closing process & Exco reporting.

  • Complex reporting & dashboard generation using SAP Business Objects (4.2/4.3), Power BI and MS SSAS.

    • Develop & maintain complex BO Universe, Webi & Crystal reports for several departments.

    • Experience in managing user profiles, permission management, scheduling parameters and deployment activities using SAP BO CMC module.

    • Experience in universe and report migration activities.

  • Develop and manage large Management Information Systems (MIS) & Analytical Database System for financial institutes.

    • Development experience in Sybase ASE/IQ and Oracle.

    • Well versed with database management & writing complex stored procedures.

    • Good knowledge of query optimization & performance management.

    • Understanding of various analytical process used in bank for profit, interest and commission calculation.

    • Experience in managing bank’s hierarchy, manager & client’s portfolio.

    • Understanding of tools like SAP PCM, Board.

  • Data analysis & KPI generation using complex and distributed databases.

    • Excellent understanding of key aggregations and performance metrics used in financial institution reporting (assets, profit, performance etc)

    • Experience in developing stored procedures to generate daily, weekly and monthly KPIs & aggregations used in bank’s reporting.

  • Purefacts Quartal Commission for retrocession management.

    • Knowledge of Commission calculation process, EAM management, PR services, Payment and accruals.

  • Enterprise level daily data load processes and tools.

    • Good knowledge of data transformation & load process involving tools like talend, Control-M.

  • Delivery management.

    • Familiarity with Change management & Incident/Problem management process.

    • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Titan, JIRA/Confluence) and methodologies, especially Agile and Scrum.

    • Team management covering task prioritization and assignment.

  • Self-motivated with positive attitude and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead project teams and manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams
  • Swiss Resident – Client facing role based in Geneva.
