Your Role and Responsibilities

The Business Partner Compliance Auditor role is to ensure third parties comply with the terms and conditions of their transactional and relationship agreements with IBM. Through risk analysis, external audit engagement execution, and detective data analytics, the compliance auditor assesses the nature and magnitude of financial and legal risks in the indirect sales channel. Responsibilities include testing transactional compliance, working with business partners, analyzing their data, preparing all correspondence, conducting on site as well as remote compliance audits, process evaluations, preparing review reports and presentations, participating in special investigations, communicating audit findings to partners and internal stakeholders, negotiating settlements of disputed findings, and communicating with representatives from multiple IBM organizations. The compliance audit team must always act in a highly professional and ethical manner, with objectivity and independence.

The ideal candidate will have a balanced combination of data analysis and testing skills, strong financial knowledge and experience, healthy professional skepticism, and an engaging, dispassionate but firm demeanor when dealing with external parties in contentious business relationships. In addition, prior audit, compliance, or controls experience. Knowledge of IBM’s partner ecosystem business operations and strategy is a plus. In addition, fluency in English is a requirement, and any additional language skills would be helpful


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Possess a Bachelors or Master Degree in addition to degree in Finance, Accounting, or Auditing
  • Fluent in English (and Thai/Malay/Indonesian, preferred); reading, writing, speaking


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Knowledge of IBM ecosystem partner business operations and strategy or experience.
  • Apply knowledge of Auditing – At least 1 year
  • Apply Business Controls Requirements – At least 1 year
  • Apply knowledge of IBM Finance – At least 1 year
  • Additional knowledge of languages such as Japanese, Korean or Thai is a plus point.
