Your Role and Responsibilities
The Chief Inspector is responsible for setting the standards for the repair station and has the overall operation control for quality assurance and is the final authority for the release to service (airworthiness) for the fleet. The Chief Inspector maintains the repair station and training manuals, is the FAA – IBM liaison for the repair station, maintaining all the required aircraft documentation, calibrated tools, technical data in a current standard and format that is acceptable to the administrator. The Chief Inspector coordinates with the Crew Chiefs, Dispatchers, Lead Technician, and maintenance manager for inspection packages vs flight schedule integration. The chief inspector ensures compliance with all CFRs, manufacturer’s specifications, and recommendations. Responsible for the stockroom including all materials.

The Chief Inspector could work different shifts (morning, days, afternoons, and nights) on both weekdays and weekends plus holidays. Some traveling is required and must have a valid passport or be eligible to obtain one.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Holds a valid Airframe and Powerplant license with an IA.

  • Significant years of experience as a Chief Inspector on the Gulfstream G650 aircraft or equivalent aircraft as we operate.

  • Experience with a maintenance tracking programs (work orders, inventory) such as CAMP and CMP and experience with software such as Microsoft Word and Excel, BOX.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, work on ladders, lifts, stand, and heights of 30 plus feet. Confined space work is required.

  • Airframe, engine, avionic, cabin and communication system knowledge, be able to “read” wring diagrams, troubleshoot any installed system on the aircraft.

  • Gulfstream G650 experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Perficient with FAA website – Ferry permits, registrations, airworthiness
